Rolls-Royce Ghost Savile Row: Tailoring Translated into a One-Off Commission

The one-of-one Ghost Extended turns Savile Row tailoring into automotive detail, from a navy-and-white exterior to a hidden 250,000-stitch embroidery behind the rear armrest.

Rolls-Royce has introduced Ghost Savile Row, a one-of-one Ghost Extended commission shaped by the language of British tailoring. The project was developed with input from Savile Row connoisseurs and presented at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Its central idea is quiet personalisation: details reveal themselves gradually rather than relying on a single dramatic motif.

The exterior combines Midnight Sapphire over English White, echoing a navy suit with a crisp white shirt. A hand-painted silver feature line sits within the upper colour and acts like a restrained piece of jewellery. Twenty-two-inch nine-spoke wheels use body-coloured centres to keep the composition formal and controlled.

Inside, Navy Blue and Arctic White leather is paired with Selby Grey piping and stitching. A vertical run-stitch references pinstripe suiting and was aligned to the geometry of each seat. The largest technical highlight is hidden behind the rear centre armrest: a seven-colour embroidery based on the courtyard trees at the Home of Rolls-Royce. Rolls-Royce says it required 250,000 stitches, 1,830 metres of thread and nine hours of machine time, making it the marque’s most demanding single-frame embroidery to date.

Open Pore White Wood, Black Wood and specially trimmed controls continue the tailoring theme. Even the stored umbrellas use coordinated colours and materials. The result demonstrates how a commission can connect exterior paint, tactile surfaces and small functional objects without becoming visually noisy.

For buyers and collectors, the key distinction is status: Ghost Savile Row is a one-off commission, not an announced production series. The source does not disclose transaction price or future availability. Any comparable vehicle would need its own provenance, specification and export checks before a sourcing decision.
